Luke Hughes

Luke Hughes is a skilled surfboard shaper and competitive surfer based in Raglan, New Zealand. Growing up immersed in the surfboard shaping world, Luke inherited a deep understanding of the craft from his father, Craig Hughes, a renowned surfboard shaper and founder of Raglan Surf Co. Luke's shaping journey began at a young age, with early exposure to the trade and formal apprenticeship under his father's guidance.

In 2005, Luke and his family established Hughes Surfboards, continuing the legacy of quality craftsmanship and innovation. Drawing inspiration from the long, winding waves of Raglan points, Hughes Surfboards offers a range of high-performance, handcrafted surfboards, including longboards, mini-fish, and shortboards, available in traditional P.U. construction or custom epoxy options.

Luke's commitment to excellence is evident in his custom creations, such as the SB19 model, designed for optimal performance in Raglan's point breaks. His boards are known for their precision, durability, and ability to enhance the surfing experience.

At Verdure, we're proud to offer Hughes Surfboards, crafted using our unique construction methods. This collaboration combines Luke Hughes' expertise with our commitment to quality and innovation, delivering surfboards that elevate your surfing experience.
