Luke Hughes

Luke Hughes is a skilled surfboard shaper and competitive surfer from Raglan, New Zealand. Taught by his father, renowned shaper Craig Hughes, Luke began shaping young and helped launch Hughes Surfboards in 2005. Inspired by Raglan’s long point breaks, he crafts high-performance boards including longboards, mini-fish, and shortboards in both P.U. and custom epoxy constructions. His designs, like the SB19 model, are known for precision, durability, and enhanced performance. Now available through Verdure, Hughes Surfboards are built using our advanced construction methods, combining Luke’s expertise with our innovation to deliver surfboards that elevate the riding experience in quality waves.
